Pride or Promise
This page is presented by sinners. We have struggled with sexual sin. We still struggle with sin. We feel firmly qualified to deliver this opinion, because we lived a lifestyle that was not pleasing to God and we still do things that do not please Him. But as followers of Christ we strive to obey Him out of love and thankfulness. Please know that what we say here, we say with all humility, kindness and love.
Born that way
Most will say I am a homosexual because I was born that way. We agree. It is the same fallenness that causes people to sin in various ways. I was also born with a propensity to sin by a natural desire to do drugs, to drink heavily, to have sex with prostitutes. I'm also drawn to sexual perversion in many ways. There's that part of me that likes it, that desires it. It is comfortable to do these things and it feels perfectly normal. That is because it is part of my fallen nature. We all have the fallen nature. We are born sinners.
Pride
In the Bible, pride is rebellion against God, rebellion against His will, against His design, against His Holiness. Pride goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden. Satan lied to Eve when he told her that she would be like God. Eve wasn't happy to live as God wanted her to live. Living in Paradise wasn't enough for her.
Pride is the desire to lift up and exalt ourselves beyond our place as God’s creature… Genesis 3
Adam & Eve wandered away from God.
They were not content with all that God had provided.
The Perfect World, Paradise, and Eternal Life that God had provided were not enough.
They desired something they were not to have.
They Doubted God. Doubted God’s word - Their way was better than God’s way – Same as today.
Represented by the rainbow, today that same pride is prevalent in our society. Sexual lifestyles that go against God's design.
The Pride movement is a unified rebellion against God.
It is a unified rebellion against God's design for sex.
But God's design for sexual relations has not changed.
It is still marriage between one man and one woman.
The Pride movement is rebellion.
Pride in History
3600 Years ago God destroyed
Sodom and Gomorrah by fire.
The two cities were destroyed because of one main problem: PRIDE. This pride led to sexual rebellion and other rampant sin.
4000 Years ago God destroyed all people, except for 8, by a worldwide flood. He did this because of rebellion and wickedness.
God is patient, but there will come a time when His patience runs out and then His judgement.

God's covenant with Noah and the world.
To never destroy the earth by a flood.
I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be eliminated by the waters of a flood, nor shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth. God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations; I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall serve as a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. It shall come about, when I make a cloud appear over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the rainbow is in the cloud, then I will look at it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” Genesis 9: 11-16
Dear neighbor, to disagree does not necessitate hate. We do not disagree hatefully, but lovingly.
Please consider these things. Please think about where you are and where you should be.
God will not turn you away if you go to Him and place your faith in Jesus Christ and seek His will and His way for your life.
Jesus' loving invitation to you. To receive Him by faith.
To trust and follow Him.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11: 28-30
