God's Love
God Knows Us Intimately.

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:13
God loves you.
How could God love a sinner like me?
God loves us more than He hates sin.
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
God gave His best for us. And to believe that reconciliation to God is impossible is to say that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was not good enough to save our souls. But there is no other way to be saved. It is the only way.
If you believe, trust and follow Jesus Christ then God has made you guiltless in His sight regardless of your past.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
If God loves us then why is there suffering?
Sin. Satan.
Sin entered the world and into all mankind when the fall occurred in the Garden of Eden, instigated by Satan. That rebellion, in the garden, brought a curse into the world and as a result, suffering and death came into the world. We are all born into sin and we all experience the pain, suffering and physical death that sin brings. Romans 5:12
But God suffered too.
Jesus, God incarnate, died on a Roman cross. He stepped down from His eternal throne of glory in Heaven to die on that cross. Jesus was beaten multiple times. He was then flogged. He was then crucified. More devastating than that, Jesus, God's own son, felt separated from God, and for the first time in eternity past, Jesus, the eternal Son of God, felt the weight of the world's sins upon His shoulders. In His humanity He cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me." Jesus died and 3 days later was resurrected. That is God's love in action.
Jesus defeated death for all who would believe in Him. He saves us from eternal spiritual death, the punishment described by Jesus as the place of eternal fire and eternal suffering - a place that no one can ever leave. And He defeated the work of Satan and one day, at God's choosing, Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire. Jesus' life here was perfect and sinless. He was God's holy and perfect sacrifice given for us. That is God's love. John 3:16
God's children will live with Him forever
We think about our life. We may have 70 or 80 years in this world, then we die. Some don't even make it that far. Our next breath is not guaranteed. Life is so very short and then there is eternity. If we trust and believe in Jesus Christ and turn from sin, we will live with Him forever, in His presence. Heaven is a real place prepared for all who follow Jesus Christ, applying His Word, the Bible, to their life. Heaven is not simply an ethereal existence as some think - sleepily floating on a cloud. It will be a conscious, vibrant, and true existence that our finite minds cannot comprehend. We will see His face. Why would anyone want to miss out on seeing the face of God? There will be no more suffering, no more pain, no more sadness, no more injustice. Sin and death will be no more. We will have complete joy and peace that we cannot comprehend with our current mind.
Here are some scriptures that show God's love for all who put their faith in Jesus Christ.
No more sadness, pain or death. God will comfort His children. He will wipe our tears.
Revelation 21: 3-4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
God's eternal protection for all who put their trust in Him
Psalm 91: 1-2
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
God gave His all and His best for us sinners
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ speaking to Nicodemus
Joy complete in the presence of God
Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
How happy are those whose sins have been forgiven. For those in Christ, God says – Not Guilty!
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalm 32:1-2
Those born again can never be separated from God.
Romans 8: 38 -39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God knows us intimately.
He physically created us in our mother's womb.
Psalm 139: 1-18
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.
Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
