Climate Change

Is the climate changing?
There is no doubt that nature is becoming more violent. We see natural disasters every day. One source writes: "We know that the whole creation has been groaning together as in the pains of childbirth until the present time." That was written in the 1st century AD by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans (8:22). In addition to evil in the heart of man, Paul saw creation rage and travail. This is the direct effect of sin in a fallen world. See Genesis 3:17-19.
Yes, the world groans and nature rages. However, the world is racing, not to a climatic end, but to a climactic series of events - the return of Jesus Christ for His church. They will meet Him in the air. This is when the true believers in Christ will be taken out of this world. See 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
This will be followed by the time of the Great Tribulation. In that period there will be climate change as never seen since the Noahic Flood. It will be the most troubling time that this world has ever endured. This global cataclysm will be brought on by God himself. God's full and righteous judgement will be unleashed on this world. See Revelation chapters 6-18.
That period will end with the return of Jesus Christ. The second coming of Christ to this world. This time He will return with His church. He will destroy the armies gathered against Him. See Revelation chapter 19. This is the real battle of Armageddon, not the movie nor what man has made up. Not science fiction, but the Biblical Armageddon. And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
Revelation 16:16.
The Valley of Armageddon is a fertile valley in Israel, also known as the Jezreel Valley. After Jesus Christ destroys the armies of the world who will gather in Israel, He will setup His kingdom on this earth. He will rule the world with an iron scepter.
Jesus said this regarding His Return:
There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting from fear and the expectation of the things that are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke 21:25-27
We make no predictions on when this will occur, but one thing is certain, Christ's return for His church is imminent. And though none of us know the date or time of this event, all of us have an appointment where we must stand before Him and give an account of our lives.
We will stand before Him either as a saved child of God or a condemned unrepentant soul. Dear neighbor, don't leave this world without Him.
One day God will replace the present universe and earth:
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away... Revelation 21:1
Will fossil fuels or climate change be our demise? No.
God says this about the earth in Genesis 8:22
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”
Dear Friend, we also believe that we are to be good stewards of this beautiful earth that God has given us, but do not fear. This present earth and universe are temporary. Please know that God will make all things perfect one day. Worship God alone!
Behold the glory, the power, the beauty and the providence of God the Creator.
Psalm 104
Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.
He makes winds his messengers, a flames of fire his servants. He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.
You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight; they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.
You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth. He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. They give water to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches. He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work. He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth: wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts.
The trees of the Lord are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the junipers. The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.
He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down. You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl. The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God. The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.
Then people go out to their work, to their labor until evening. How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number— living things both large and small.
There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works— he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord. But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Praise the Lord.
